A man will spend 15 years in prison for robbing two restaurants at gunpoint in three days in Henry County, according to the spokeswoman for the district attorney.

Johnny Lee Wade, 30, of Macon, pleaded guilty Thursday to three counts of armed robbery, four counts of aggravated assault and criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, Megan Matteucci said.

Both crimes were committed in 2016.

Wade went into a Subway on North Park Drive in Stockbridge on March 30, pointed a pistol at the clerk and demanded money, Matteucci said. He also told customers to hand over cash and jewelry.

On April 1, Wade robbed a Krystal on Ga. 155 in McDonough, officials said. Again, he pointed a pistol at the clerk and demanded cash.

In both incidents, he was captured on surveillance video.

Wade will be on probation for 10 years after he finishes his prison term, according to Matteucci.

“This office will not tolerate violent crime in our businesses, family establishments or anywhere else in Henry County,” District Attorney Darius Pattillo said.
