Man linked to 2 Texas shooting deaths arrested in Georgia

A man accused of shooting a Houston-area man to death in front of his children is in custody in South Georgia, an official said.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office in Texas said 32-year-old Ronald Roy “Pappa” Smith was taken into custody Tuesday morning by U.S. Marshals in Wenona, which is near I-75 south of Cordele.

Smith is accused of shooting Michael Ware, 34, in October, according to The Associated Press. He is also linked to the death of Sherroin Brentley last year.
Smith was booked into the Worth County Jail and awaits extradition to Texas, the AP reported.
Worth County is about 190 miles south of downtown Atlanta.
