One man was killed and another wounded Thursday in an early morning shooting at a DeKalb County apartment complex off Rockbridge Road.
The shooting happened about midnight at the Willow Ridge complex on Willow Ridge Way, which is near Avondale Estates.
Responding officers found a man dead near the front door of a unit, Channel 2 Action News reported.
“There’s evidence that it happened inside,” DeKalb police Lt. Rod Bryant told the station. “There does not appear to be any evidence of forced entry.”
A second man was also shot, and taken to a nearby hospital in serious condition, according to Channel 2.
There were four people inside the apartment when someone opened fire. Investigators were still interviewing witnesses, trying to establish a motive for the shooting.
“We don’t know if there was a dispute inside, or if it was a home invasion,” Bryant said.
The names of the victims, who appeared to be in their mid- to late 20s, have not been released.
