A 47-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning after rear-ending a truck with his moped, Atlanta police said.

The wreck occurred in the 1400 block of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard just before noon, according to Atlanta police spokeswoman Officer Stephanie Brown.

The driver of the moped, who has not been identified, was taken to Grady Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are still investigating what led to the crash.
