After a neighbor noticed that a bedroom window appeared to have been pushed in and called 911, authorities found a Walton County man they believe may have been killed inside his home.

Anthony Myron Sims, 59, of Monroe, was found dead at a home on Baron Drive about noon Saturday, Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Nelly Miles said Monday.

“Authorities are withholding specific details concerning injuries while the investigation develops,” she said.

Sims’ car, a 2002 dark blue Dodge Dakota, was stolen during the incident, Miles said.

Anyone with information should call the Monroe Police Department at 770-226-5127 or the GBI at 1-800-597-8477.
