It was the second fatal fire Cobb County crews have investigated this week. An 85-year-old woman and three dogs were found dead Monday after a fire at a home on Wind Chase Court in Austell.

That fire, which appeared to have started in a basement living area, was out before crews arrived, fire Capt. Joseph Bryant said. An official cause of death for the woman has not been determined, but Bryant said she could have died from smoke inhalation.
Foul play is not suspected in that blaze, according to officials.
