One man was killed and another was injured in a Midtown shooting Tuesday afternoon, police said.

About 4 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of West Peachtree Street and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds in a hallway of an apartment complex, Atlanta police said. The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died.

A second gunshot victim was found nearby, police said. He was taken to Emory Hospital before being moved to Grady, where he remains.

A suspect is not in custody. No other information was released.
