Man charged with sexual exploitation of a child

A Gainesville man was arrested Monday after officials found child pornography inside his home, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said.

Jeffery Erwin Giessen, 65, remains in the Hall County jail without bond on a child exploitation charge, according to records.

Authorities searched Giessen’s Karen Lane home and found “pictures and videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct,” sheriff’s Lt. Scott Ware said Tuesday in a statement.
