A man wanted for murder and who was on the Atlanta Police Department’s “most wanted” list was captured in Massachusetts on Thursday.

Brejon Nabors, 27, was sought in connection with the death of Mondavius Milan, 31, who was shot April 4 inside a vehicle near the intersection of Campbellton and Barge roads.

Officers in New Bedford, Mass., found Nabors when they were serving a warrant on someone else, Det. Matthew Rodrigues said in a statement.

Nabors “climbed out of a bedroom window on the second floor, and attempted to flee the residence,” Rodrigues said. “Mr. Nabors was running and jumping onto roofs, causing a disturbance in the neighborhood” before he was arrested.

He would not confirm his identity to Massachusetts troopers, but Nabors’ identity was confirmed through a national fingerprint database, officials said.

Nabors will be charged in Massachusetts with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and being a fugitive from justice, police said. Officials will arrange his transfer to Georgia.

In the Atlanta case, a preliminary investigation suggested that the victim was in a car with other people, including Nabors, when an altercation ensued and he was shot.
