A Gainesville man faces 50 counts of sexual exploitation of children after investigators found dozens of photos depicting child sex abuse on his electronic devices.

Taylor Starcher, 24, was arrested Wednesday after a search turned up a bevy of sexual images, Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth said Thursday in a news release.

The Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force opened an investigation into Starcher after receiving a cyber tip, according to the sheriff’s office. Hall County deputies executed a search warrant on Starcher’s home in the 3900 block of Cleveland Highway in May and seized multiple electronic devices.

Investigators finished forensically processing those devices Tuesday and found 50 images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, Booth said.

Starcher was booked into the county jail, where he remains without bond.
