Brookhaven police have arrested a man after finding a 7-year-old boy who was missing for more than six hours Monday.
Dash Zeno was reported missing from the Berkshires at Lenox Park Apartments about 3 p.m., kicking off a search in the area of Gables Drive and Lenox Park Boulevard. By 9:45 p.m., the boy was found safe and a man believed to be his biological father was in custody.

Quandell Michael Curtis, 37, of Austell, was arrested on a charge of interference with custody. According to police, Curtis “has not been legitimized” as the 7-year-old’s father and “has no custodial authority over the child.”
Brookhaven police spokesman Sgt. David Snively said investigators used telephone and GPS information to make their case against Curtis.
Shortly before the boy went missing, Curtis called the phone inside his apartment, Snively said.
“GPS data later revealed that Curtis was in the area of Zeno’s apartment during the time that Zeno went missing,” he said in a news release. “Investigators subsequently gathered sufficient evidence to support the issuance of criminal arrest warrants for Curtis’ arrest.”
He was arrested at an apartment complex in the Austell area with the help of Cobb County police. Zeno was found in good health and was reunited with his family Monday night.
The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Brookhaven police at 404-637-0600.
