Clayton County authorities have arrested a man they say fired into a car while a baby was inside.

Javon Marquise Harris was arrested Monday, Sheriff Victor Hill said.

The incident occurred at about 6 p.m. Friday in College Park, Clayton County police spokeswoman Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said earlier. A man and woman were arguing over the woman’s sister when he allegedly pulled out a gun and fired shots.

One of the bullets traveled through the passenger seat and lodged in the door near the baby, police said.

Specific charges for Harris were not disclosed.
