An Acworth man faces charges after police said he took an upskirt photo of a woman as she shopped at a Publix supermarket.

Christopher Vonhousen, 36, was arrested following the alleged incident, which happened May 26 at the Publix in the 3500 block of Baker Road, according to Acworth police spokesman Capt. Mark Cheatham.

A woman told officers she noticed a “suspicious male taking a photograph with his phone, from underneath her dress,” Cheatham said Monday in a news release.

Police said Vonhousen hastily left the supermarket in a silver sedan after the woman contacted store management.

Officers viewed the incident on the supermarket’s surveillance cameras and tracked down Vonhousen soon after. He was arrested and charged with one count of use or installation of device to film underneath or through an individual’s clothing.

He was released Sunday from the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a $5,720 bond, according to online jail records.
