A man accused of kidnapping, robbing and raping a woman in Clayton County may be connected to at least two other alleged rapes in Fulton County, officials said.
Jamario Pollard was arrested by the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, nearly a year after the alleged rape, Sheriff Victor Hill said in a statement. Pollard, 34, of Union City, remained in the Clayton County jail without bond.
According to authorities, Pollard pulled the victim into the woods behind the Arrowhead Shopping Center on Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro, forced her to take off her clothes and raped her. Pollard then took $300 from her purse and left the scene, Hill said.
Clayton County police detectives eventually identified the suspect as Pollard and discovered he is connected to two other alleged rapes. Details about those allegations were not released.
