A high school graduation party at an Acworth restaurant turned violent last week when a Kennesaw man allegedly pulled a knife and threatened several families in the parking lot, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Darrell Porter had just finished eating at Guston’s Grille and Tap with several friends and their children when a man approached them and allegedly threatened them at knifepoint, the news station reported.
“This guy went nuts,” Porter said, adding the man circled the group with the knife out. “He pulled that blade out and came at them.”
Samat Som, 38, was later arrested by police. According to the police report, Som also threatened Cobb officers, telling them “I’ll chop them heads off” once he was placed in the car, according to Channel 2.
He was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats or acts and two counts of simple assault.
He remains held at the Cobb jail with a hold placed on him by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
