A Lithonia man accused of sexually assaulting his girlfriend’s child was arrested Monday at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, authorities said.
Marc Andrew Brooks, 29, was taken into custody by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office sex offender unit and U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Deputies said Brooks was arrested when customs authorities discovered he was wanted in DeKalb since February. It’s unclear how long the alleged abuse occurred or how old the child was.
He is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of felony rape, records show.
Brooks remains held at the DeKalb County jail without bond.
