Mall shooting suspect returned to Alabama from Fulton County jail

A man suspected of shooting two teenagers at an Alabama mall on Thanksgiving night was moved to the Jefferson County jail from metro Atlanta on Monday afternoon.

Erron Martez Dequan Brown, 20, had been in the Fulton County jail since he was arrested at a relative’s house in Fairburn, authorities said. He waived his court appearance Friday.

Brown is charged with attempted murder in the Alabama shooting, and more charges are possible, authorities told al.com.

The Alabama shooting made national headlines after police announced they had shot and killed Emantic Bradford Jr., who they erroneously characterized as the suspect. Later, they revealed he did not pull the trigger, and was only holding a gun at the scene.
