Locust Grove man dies in Henry County crash

Henry County police were investigating a fatal crash early Thursday on Interstate 75 that killed a Locust Grove man.

Thomas E. Taylor, 22, was driving a Honda CR-V when he rear-ended a tractor-trailer truck about 2:15 a.m., according to according to police Capt. Joey Smith. Taylor was traveling south on I-75 near the Hudson Bridge Road/Eagle Landing Parkway exit.

The Honda made an improper lane change just before the collision, possibly because of traffic congestion, Smith said. The southbound lanes were shut down but re-opened just before rush-hour traffic, Smith said. The truck driver was not injured.
