A man died after gunfire erupted in the middle of a street Thursday night in DeKalb County.

Police are trying to get to the bottom of what started the gunfire. Close to 40 rounds and two guns were used in the shooting and investigators collected more than two dozen shell casings in the 4100 block of Glenwood Road, according to Channel 2 Action News.

The victim, who was found on the sidewalk and died at a local hospital, has not been identified. However, authorities said he is 35 years old.
