Comedian Katt Williams has been on a bad roll with the law lately. And now, more is known about one of the incidents.

One person who was involved in an Atlanta incident that resulted in misdemeanor charges against Williams said her comment to Williams about another comedian seemed to instigate the incident, Channel 2 Action News reported.

“I said Kevin Hart is funnier anyway and that like lit a fire under him,” the woman, who did not use her real name, told Channel 2.

Williams is facing misdemeanor charges because he and some members of his entourage were accused of physically attacking and stealing cellphones from five women who were visiting Atlanta in late February.

This incident reportedly occurred when Williams, who was recognized by the visitors, agreed to take a photo with them. Williams became angry and started fighting them after the women began filming, according to a police report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The woman said Williams pulled out a gun and “pointed it at our vehicle and waved it back and forth like something out of a movie.”

After bonding out of the Fulton County jail last week, Williams said, “I am just like most Christians, under daily attack, but somehow holding up well.”

Williams also faces charges in Hall County for allegedly encouraging a man believed to be his bodyguard to commit some criminal activity. Williams assaulted the man when he refused to commit the illegal acts, according to a deputy from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
