An 18-year-old murder suspect has been arrested in Floyd County, authorities said.
Cody Deangelo Thompson of Rome is accused of shooting and killing Richard Boatner, 35, also of Rome, on Tuesday in the parking lot at Cottis Inn on Martha Berry Boulevard, AJC.com previously reported.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office said a fistfight escalated into the shooting, but it’s unknown what initially started the fight.
Thompson, who faces charges of felony murder and murder, remains at the Floyd County Jail without bond, jail records show.
