A 17-year-old boy is dead and another is behind bars after a stabbing Sunday in a South Fulton neighborhood.
Police found Charles Campbell suffering from a stab wound in the 2200 block of Creel Road. He was allegedly attacked near a home in the Heritage Park subdivision, which is located off Old National Highway.
It appears Campbell was stabbed over “some type of dispute,” according to South Fulton police spokesman Sgt. Jubal Rogers. The teen later died.
“Detectives with the criminal investigations division identified the suspect as 17-year-old Mr. Myron Jones and he was taken into custody,” Rogers said in a statement. “A warrant for murder has been obtained for Jones, and he is in the Fulton County Jail.”
No further details about the deadly incident were released.
Jones is being held in the jail without bond. He is next scheduled to appear in court Nov. 4 for a preliminary hearing.
