A Marietta man was killed Friday morning after crashing into the back of a stopped box truck, authorities said.
Bro Grace Amen, 67, died about 10:45 a.m. when he drove his 2006 Honda Odyssey minivan into an Isuzu truck that was stopped in the center turn lane of Powder Springs Road, Cobb County police spokeswoman Officer Sydney Melton said.
The truck was preparing to make a left onto Grove Valley Drive when Amen’s van partially entered the center lane and struck the back right side of the truck, she said.
Amen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, identified as 21-year-old Marietta resident Shaun Robinson, was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital with minor injuries. He likely won’t be charged, police said.
