A 26-year-old man was shot and killed at a DeKalb County apartment complex Tuesday night.

The victim, whose name was not released, was found with multiple gunshot wounds at a complex on Belvedere Lane in the Belvedere Park neighborhood. He was dead at the scene when officers arrived around 10:15 p.m., DeKalb police spokesman Sgt. J.D. Spencer told AJC.com.

Witnesses at the scene told officers the victim was arguing with someone before the shooting, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“I heard about three to five gunshots,” witness Shayne Adams told the news station. “I looked over, saw a bunch of pandemonium.”

Detectives have identified a suspect and have obtained an arrest warrant, Spencer said, but they are not yet releasing his name.

The shooting remains under investigation.
