A man was injured when several intruders forced their way into a Tucker area home early Tuesday morning, Channel 2 Action News reported.

DeKalb County police responded to a home invasion and robbery in the 4300 block of Chamblee Tucker Road. A man who lives in the home told Channel 2 a group of five men broke in about 2:45 a.m. and injured one of his friends.

According to Channel 2, the victim was treated in the back of an ambulance not far from the home Tuesday morning before he was taken to a local hospital. The extent of his injuries is not known.

No victims were shot, DeKalb police spokesman Sgt. J.D. Spencer told AJC.com. No further details were released.

The incident comes one day after an alleged intruder was fatally shot by a homeowner in southwest Atlanta. Investigators said the homeowner was injured when the two men, who knew each other, exchanged gunfire.
