A man accused of shooting and killing a 20-year-old in a Clayton County mobile home park earlier this month has been arrested, officials said.

DeQunn Watts, 20, was captured Friday morning and charged with felony murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery in the Jan. 2 death of Dakota Farr in Stockbridge, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. Watts is in the Clayton County Jail.

Farr was killed while sitting in his vehicle in a vacant driveway in the 700 block of Hillside Drive.

Police said Farr flagged down officers that night about 4:30 a.m. and told them he had been shot. He was rushed to Southern Regional Medical Center but later died.

The sheriff’s office said Friday that Watts fired into the vehicle, where Farr was sitting with a woman and a child, hitting both adults. The woman was shot in the left arm and suffered permanent damage, the sheriff’s office said in the release.

“Three victims were shot ... for no apparent reason,” police said at the time.

“I’ll never be the same,” she told Channel 2 Action News after his death. “I know my life will never be the same.”
