Authorities are looking for a Georgia inmate who walked away Monday from an Atlanta transitional center.
Antonio Maurice Kirkland, 25, was being housed in the center on Ponce de Leon Avenue while he reintegrated back into society. Authorities lost track of him about 9:20 p.m.
Kirkland has been in the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections since 2014, according to state prison records. He has numerous convictions out of Effingham and Richmond counties, with burglary and robbery by force the most serious offenses. His scheduled release date was April 2022.
Kirkland is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Do not attempt to approach him, according to authorities.
