A Harlem Globetrotters DJ from metro Atlanta is accused of inappropriately touching a teenage girl during one of the basketball team’s performances in New York.

Jon Buckner, 32, of Riverdale, was arrested Saturday night in Syracuse, N.Y., on misdemeanor charges of third-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Buckner is accused of touching a young girl through her clothing "in an inappropriate manner" during a Feb. 10 Harlem Globetrotters exhibition event at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y., police in that city said. According to the Albany Times Union, the girl was 14 years old.

The organization did not say if Buckner is an employee of the Globetrotters or if he was contracted for his services. The traveling basketball show was performing Saturday night in Syracuse when Buckner was arrested.

“We have been made aware of the situation and are fully cooperating with the local authorities,” Harlem Globetrotters spokesman Brett Meister said in a statement. “We will have no further comment during the initial investigation.”

Buckner was arraigned Sunday morning and sent to the Albany County Jail while his case is pending.
