Georgia Tech’s library was evacuated Thursday afternoon amid concerns about a possible gas leak, police said.

The building, which was under construction, was evacuated just before 4 p.m. The smell has since dissipated and students were allowed back into the building around 4:30 p.m., university officials said.

Atlanta firefighters responded to the scene, authorities said.
