An inmate has escaped from a work detail in Middle Georgia, according to state prison officials.

A statewide lookout is on for Keyshawn Markese Cobb, 19, who walked off from the kitchen at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center in Forsyth, according to a Twitter post by the state Department of Corrections.

People are urged not to approach Cobb if he is seen, according to the post. Instead, call 911.

Cobb was last seen about 10 a.m. and was wearing camouflage shorts, a dark shirt, a camouflage backpack and a hat, according to corrections officials.

He is an inmate at the Burruss Correctional Training Center in Monroe County, according to corrections officials. He was serving time for a burglary conviction.
