A driver who crashed into the Wet Willie’s bar in Buckhead was not injured but faces a failure to maintain lane charge.

The driver, identified as Erik Goodwin of Atlanta, was traveling on Piedmont Road around noon Thursday when he crossed the southbound lanes in his Kia Optima and hit the patio area of the Lindbergh Center business, Atlanta police Officer Lisa Bender said.

According to the police report, Goodwin “appeared incoherent” and did not remember the accident. He told police he takes seizure medicine and took it later than normal Thursday morning.

He was treated at the scene but refused additional medical attention, the report states. No one else was injured and no property was damaged.
