A high school coach was arrested Thursday in North Georgia after he allegedly bought methamphetamine from a law enforcement source, according to a media report.
Phillip Henry Johnson, 51, is a tennis coach at Baylor Prep in Chattanooga, Tenn., according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press. He allegedly bought $200 worth of the drug at a store near I-75 in Whitfield County, which is about 90 miles north of Atlanta.
The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office said it had received information that a coach from the school “frequently” came to the county to buy meth, the Dalton Daily Citizen reported. So a surveillance operation was established.
