Henry County police are offering a reward to help solve a home invasion in which two of the would-be robbers ended up dead.

Lease holder Stanley Babb said his roommate shot two men after they entered their second-story Sable Chase apartment from the balcony with drawn guns on Nov. 30. On Monday, police said they are still searching for two men who escaped the shootout.

Initial police reports indicated there were only three men involved, one of whom was found dead inside the apartment and another found shot to death outside. Now police are reporting the possible presence of a fourth man.

Babb told police that he had his hands in the air when his roommate grabbed a gun and fired. One of the suspects bled to death on the foyer floor by the time police arrived, Capt. Joey Smith said.

Investigators found another suspect dead in a field behind the complex, Smith said.

Anyone with information on who the fugitives might be is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS. Callers are anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to the arrest of suspects.
