A Henry County high school student was injured Wednesday after being struck while crossing the street, police said.

The 17-year-old Eagle’s Landing High School student was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, Henry County police and school officials told AJC.com.

He was hit by a vehicle while crossing in the 4000 block of East Jodeco Road, police spokesman Capt. Joey Smith said.

The driver stayed on the scene and is not expected to be charged, Smith said.
