A Hall County woman was arrested Saturday after shooting and killing her live-in boyfriend during a dispute at the couple’s Flowery Branch home, authorities said.

Sabrina Banks Turner, 48, is charged with one count of voluntary manslaughter for allegedly shooting 44-year-old Everton Carter, said Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Stephen Wilbanks.

Deputies were called to the home along Sable Court about 1:45 a.m. after Turner called to report shooting her boyfriend, Wilbanks said.

Authorities arrived to find Carter dead of a single gunshot wound to the torso. Turner was taken into custody and charged with voluntary manslaughter after being interviewed, investigators said.

She was booked into the Hall County jail late Saturday afternoon.
