Pinterest is a social media website used to post and save ideas for home decor, crafts and other things users are interested in.
For one Hall County man, that included child pornography, authorities said.
The Gainesville Times reported that 43-year-old Flowery Branch resident Keith Marcus Prosser was arrested Monday after Pinterest notified the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that he "was attempting to 'pin' images of child porn." The NCMEC contacted the Hall County Sheriff's Office last month.
“Investigators conducted a search warrant at the residence of Prosser and located a hard drive that contained images and videos of child porn,” Deputy Nicole Bailes told The Times.
Warrants charging Prosser with possession of child porn were taken out Nov. 4, and Prosser was found Monday in Cumming, the newspaper reported.
Online records showed he remained in the Hall County jail Wednesday in lieu of $55,200 bond.
