A veteran Hall County fireman was arrested Wednesday and faces charges of misdemeanor obstruction and giving false statements, officials said.

Sandon Dax Lewis, who had been employed with Hall County fire since Aug. 5, 2002, was terminated following his arrest, Hall County government spokeswoman Katie Crumley said in an email.

Investigation into the case is ongoing.
