A Lawrenceville woman is facing DUI and multiple child endangerment charges after being arrested over the weekend for allegedly driving drunk with six children inside her vehicle.

Rachel Rosario was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail late Saturday night, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper/erratic lane change, failure to have license on person and six counts of DUI-child endangerment.

She was released on bond Monday, according to jail records.

Channel 2 Action News reported that Rosario was arrested after leaving a Gwinnett County skating rink.

Alerted by another customer, an off-duty Gwinnett sheriff’s deputy who was working security at Skate-A-Long USA followed Rosario after she left the rink.

The deputy said he noticed the Cadillac Escalade swerve several times before pulling her over on Beaver Ruin Road, Channel 2 reported.

Inside, the deputy found Rosario and six children ranging in age from 5 to 12, according to Channel 2.

Rosario’s husband was allowed to come to the scene and pick up the children.
