Girl, 8, shot during party in Atlanta

An 8-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder during a party on Fairburn Road in Atlanta Saturday night.

Witnesses told police that people began shooting during the party and the girl was struck. Security guards on the scene said two black males fired shots then fled in a white Nissan Altima. They described one of the males as 5’6” tall, 145 pounds and wearing a white T-shirt and blue basketball shorts.

The shooting happened about 8:45 p.m.
