A Henry County woman was arrested on nearly three dozen felony charges Wednesday after authorities removed 27 dogs and eight cats from her home earlier this month, police said.

They were discovered May 1 after someone concerned about the number of animals inside Victoria Holland’s house called authorities, Henry County police spokesman Capt. Randy Lee said.

Police said Holland was “boarding” the pets, but additional information about their living conditions was not released. The dogs and cats have since been relocated.

Holland faces 35 counts of felony cruelty to animals, one for each pet found inside her home, police said. She was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon, hours after police circulated her photo on Facebook and announced she was wanted.

Anyone with additional information about the case is asked to call Henry police at 770-957-9121.
