Burglars may want to think twice before they break into Shannon Linton’s home.

Linton shot at two men who broke into her home Monday night, according to a release from the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department.

Linton said she thought her husband was coming in the house, but when she went to look for him, the two men punched her in the face.

It was then that she grabbed her firearm and fired a shot at the men as they fled the home.

"I think when he punched me, he thought he'd knocked me out. Because he kept coming toward, down the hallway. And that's when I went right back into the bedroom and grabbed the gun," Linton told WTVM in Savannah.

The men made off with two laptops that were recovered not long after police arrived, the news station reported. Linton’s 15-year-old daughter was at home with her.

Police are still looking for the two men. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 912-234-2020. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
