A northeast Georgia high school paraprofessional and assistant basketball coach is accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student, authorities said.

Michael Lee Stanley, 29, was arrested Jan. 15 and charged with four counts of first-degree improper sexual contact by an employee of a school, according to the Banks County Sheriff’s Office.

Stanley worked at East Jackson High School. He was released on a $20,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
