A west Georgia man is behind bars, accused of a fatal shooting outside a Marietta gas station Tuesday.
Officers responded to the Exxon at the intersection of Atlanta and Austell roads about 6:45 p.m. after receiving a call about a person shot, Cobb County police spokesman Sgt. Wayne Delk said.
They arrived to find 41-year-old Hubert Lamar Burtz of Mableton dead at the scene.
Few details about the shooting have been released, but an investigation led to the arrest of 28-year-old Justin Colt Shaw of Tallapoosa.
Shaw was booked into the Cobb County jail Wednesday on charges of murder and aggravated assault, online records show. He remains held without bond.
