The GBI said agents arrested a trio of alleged narcotic traffickers Wednesday in Middle Georgia.
As part of the bust, local law enforcement agencies in Coweta, Meriwether, Spalding, Troup and Upson counties executed search warrants, leading to the three arrests, the GBI said in a news release. The investigation into the drug trafficking operation began in March.
In total, agents seized about $10,000 worth of methamphetamine, $5,000 worth of cocaine, three firearms, an undisclosed amount of marijuana and about $40,000 in cash, the release said.
The search warrants were executed at Woodbury addresses off Bray Road, Country Club Road and Ga. 85.
Jerald Noel Bolen, 35, Lavor Mondrell Weaver, 40, and Demario Ferguson, 39, all of Woodbury, were arrested during the bust, the release said. Bolen was charged with conspiracy to traffic meth, Weaver was charged with conspiracy to distribute meth and Ferguson faces a count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
Bolen was booked into the Spalding County Jail, while Weaver and Ferguson were booked into the Meriwether County Jail.
