GBI, Haralson County cops seek ID of dead man with ‘Aurora’ tattoo

Haralson County police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are hoping someone can identify a dead body with the name “Aurora” tattooed on the shoulder.

The body was found on Highway 78 in Haralson County about two miles from the Alabama-Georgia state line, according to a GBI news release.

Investigators described the victim as a white male, approximately 40-50 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, medium to heavy build, with dark-colored short hair.

According to GBI spokesman Joe Montgomery, the victim had been dead for 2 to 3 days, and is believed to have been killed at another location and left on the side of the road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office at (770)-646-2011 or the GBI at (706) 624-1424.
