Haralson County police and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are hoping someone can identify a dead body with the name “Aurora” tattooed on the shoulder.

The body was found on Highway 78 in Haralson County about two miles from the Alabama-Georgia state line, according to a GBI news release.

Investigators described the victim as a white male, approximately 40-50 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, medium to heavy build, with dark-colored short hair.

According to GBI spokesman Joe Montgomery, the victim had been dead for 2 to 3 days, and is believed to have been killed at another location and left on the side of the road.
