A Snellville mother who moved into a new home about 48 hours earlier said she was on her way to church with her children on Mother’s Day when she found a gay slur on the garage, according to a police report.

The same three-letter slur was on Kristi Logue’s Toyota Avalon four times.

“Me and my kids were leaving for church for Mother’s Day,” Logue told Channel 2 Action News. “My son was the first one out and he said, ‘Mommy, your car.’”

A few hours after police arrived, Logue found a paint can top in her side yard and gave it to them as evidence, according to the police report.

Logue and her children hadn’t experienced problems moving into their new home, Channel 2 reported. That soon changed.

“My kids were like, ‘Mommy, what’s happening?’” Logue said. “My little girl starts crying and I’m just at a loss to figure who did it and why they would do it and it’s not me.”

Logue checked on a noise her son heard the previous night, but did not go outside, according to the report.

The Snellville Police Department is investigating the incident.
