A Gainesville man was arrested Wednesday after investigators determined he sexually assaulted a child several times, authorities said.
Tommy Joe Strickland, 54, faces a charge of aggravated sodomy for incidents that took place between January 2011 and August 2013, Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth said.
The incidents took place at Strickland’s previous home off Holcomb Circle in unincorporated Flowery Branch, Booth said. The male victim’s age was not provided.
The investigation began Sept. 9 this year after the alleged acts were reported to the sheriff’s office.
As of Friday night, Strickland remained in the Hall County Jail without bond, jail records show.
