Two accused armed robbers’ appetite got the best of them when police tracked a delivery order to an apartment complex where they were hiding.

Clarkston police say Richard Hines, 29, and Dyante Prince, 23, robbed two men at gunpoint just hours apart earlier in the day and had just racked up $500 in Nike.com charges when they ordered some food, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Authorities tracked the food order to an apartment complex. That’s when they closed in.

“We located the victims’ credit cards, we located the gun used,” Clarkston police Sgt. Jason Elliott told Channel 2. “We located clothing that helped us match these different cases.”

In the first robbery, Hines posed as an interested car buyer before asking the victim if he’d ever been robbed and pulling out a gun, the news station reported.

The victim fought him off and was shot in the process. He was treated and released from Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police said hours later, they robbed a second victim while he was at his mailbox. The victim told Channel 2 one of the suspects put a gun to his head and demanded money. He then smacked the weapon out of the suspect’s hand and ran after them. A shot was fired, but no one was hit.

Hines and Prince face armed robbery and aggravated assault charges.
