A Miami man landed himself in jail on Sunday after he was caught throwing a “public” marijuana party to celebrate the Amendment 2 push for pot legalization, police said.

Leandro Arriaga, 32, faced several charges that included doing a business without a license, trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, WPLG reports.

Arriaga told officers he was the “event coordinator” and that the party was “open to the public,” police said to WPLG.

Police said they confiscated more than 50 pounds of “THC contraband,” according to WPLG.
