Florida boy, 10, overdoses on cannabis-infused candy found in car

A 10-year-old boy overdosed after eating cannabis-infused candy, authorities said.

The New York child was sitting unsupervised in the family car when he discovered the sour gummy candies infused with medical cannabis, according to WCBS.

The boy was rushed to the emergency room after he “ingested at least one piece of the candy containing 250 mg or more of THC,” WCBS reported.

He was treated and released from the hospital, according to the Town of Ramapo Police Department.

The boy’s father, Ephraim Zagelbaum, 37, of Spring Valley, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
